I recently purchased this backpack for trips to Alaska and Texas. Both trips were for work, but I planned to take some photography gear along for side trips prior to the work events. This pack was perfect for those trips and was especially useful as my on-plane carry-on. It held everything I needed and was easy to access. I was able to carry a Sony a7III, two lenses, a Fujifilm GSW690ii, and my Fuji X100VI with some room left over. I was particularly pleased with the laptop sleeve, which is big enough for my laptop, iPad, and a notepad. I am extremely happy with this purchase, which was my third Nomatic backpack, and I regularly use all three. If Icould change one thing, I would have the zipper for the laptop section zip from top to bottom.

I bought this bag for a trip to Japan, and it’s been raining constantly. I thought my gear would be safe in this well-designed bag with a water-resistant finish. I was wrong. After a day of walking in moderate rain, every single compartment was wet. I’m still on my trip and will need to find a third-party cover. Very disappointed about this aspect of the bag, though I like it otherwise. Caveat emptor.

What a beautiful bag this is. It is working as a “carry on hybrid“ packing my camera and my clothes for 5 days! Built like a tank. And I appreciate the anti theft locking holes.

I open and close and carry this bag loaded with 40 lbs of with $35,000 of LIDAR camera equipment ten times a day 5-6 days a week. For 23 of 30 days for the last seven months, I have carried this bag. I carry it up 25' ladders, I squeeze by in tight cubbys with it on my back with a tripod alongside in the pouch. It carry's a heavy load centered in my back allowing me to carry it long distance in airports. I get through TSA lines quick and easy. It gets dirty and I wipe it down to look like new. I am a professional and need to rely on serious gear. This McKinnon Nomatic Bag is the best possible bag I can buy for my needs. I now own several other Nomatic bags and accessories.

Relatively cheap alternative to the cube options. Works amazingly well to pair with a large cube in the PM25L backpack for endless customization. Perfect setup for DJI Mavic 4 Pro Creator bundle + Avata 360 + Goggles 3 + FPV Remote 3 + RC Pro 2 Remote. Plenty of extra room for ND filters, lanyards, SD Card cases, batteries, and traditional camera equipment. The bag has clean understated aesthetics, interior protection for your valuables, and exterior protection from the elements, making it a go-to option for true professionals.
