McKinnon Camera Sling 8L

I'm a researcher who studies severe storms, and have taken my gear in this bag all over the US for weeks at a time. This bag has been perfect! The sturdy frame, material, and zippers have held up to getting dumped in and out of a truck and hotels daily, set down on muddy floor mats, carried through the rain and hail, and carried on airplanes, and my camera gear have been perfectly protected. I really like the way this bag opens, so that you can access everything easily, and the elastic closure is nice when I'm deployed on a storm, so that I can quickly pull out my camera to grab some shots before tossing it back in the bag and just doing the quick close while driving away. The bag still looks new after 2 years of, frankly, abuse. I'm able to carry my Pentax K3 mkiii with 11-18mm attached and 16-50mm in the side pocket (or reversed), AND can fit my go pro plus detached window suction cup for it, AND mini manfrotto tabletop tripod (this last one only when traveling through airport, otherwise it gets in the way for quick deployments). I also manage 2 spare batteries, a remote, and a lens cloth. The organization is perfect too. I recently picked up the 13L for when I'll need to carry my telephoto or more lenses, and possibly my laptop. The strap of the 8L is comfortable for walking around too when I've taken my gear out for short hikes. Super happy with my "camera burrito" and look forward to years more of use!

I can fit my Z50 or Z6 with 24-200mm,12-28mm, 24mm 1.7, or 28mm 2.8. Small flash, 2 extra batteries, 3 mem cards, filters, lens cleaning eq, and yes pepper spray. If I need a large flash I attach a pouch to the luggage strap. It’s comfortable to travel with when you don’t need a lot of gear. Sometimes I pack it in a backpack for under the seat on planes.
